La réécriture de Macbeth

Le lecteur se souvient peut-être que l’un des axes d’approche pour l’écriture du Ceilidh a été la relecture et la réécriture de Macbeth adapté à un univers plus proche du polar noir que de la tragédie bien que les deux genres se mêlent étroitement dans la pièce. Cet aspect de mon travail est celui qui intéresse principalement Marina dans la manière dont elle veut présenter le projet. Témoin ce petit échange entre nous par courriels interposés.

Yes, it would be fabulous, and we just need to find our market, because I KNOW there will be people who'll want to see the show knowing it's a spin-off of Macbeth. Unfortunately, that's how you have to market it to American people - that it's a "spin-off" of something. Otherwise they just won't make the connection. You need to tie to back to Shakespeare, and they'll remember what you're talking about. Marina

Remind that when I first wrote for "the Ceilidh", my idea was to work over a spin off of Macbeth because I wanted my pupils to get the opportunity of getting involoved in the atmosphere of the scottish tragedy...
